Sunday's Rehearsal
Sunday's rehearsal will start at 11:30 sharp. The band will be ready to go by 11:45 and we will start a run with them until around 3pm.

After the run, there will be a break and a meal provided and some time will be dedicated to cleaning up choral sections. In addition, there are a couple of short scenes that we need to rehearse with the last few pieces of the set. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE THEATRE. WE NEED A FULL CAST TO CLEAN UP SCENES NOW THAT WE HAVE A COMPLETE SET.

21 days till tech week
All actors must come to rehearsals prepared to "act and sing" in all scenes. I am pleased that the electronics are keeping people entertained, however I believe the electronic games are stopping people from small group rehearsals, reviewing lines, blocking and dance steps. We are starting run throughs on Tuesday. Tell your friends who are missing rehearsals how difficult it is to create a scene with people absent. This is a difficult theatre piece and rehearsing with a full cast is all that can help at this point. Plan your transportation to and from rehearsals in a timely manner.

Rehearsals
Hi everyone, Thank you for your cooperation today. PLEASE NOTE THE TIMES OF UPCOMING REHEARSALS.(CHECK DATES AND TIMES VERY CAREFULLY AS I HAVE MADE SOME TIME CHANGES TO ACCOMODATE CONFLICTING SCHOOL EVENTS.) Most rehearsals will require everyone to attend as we should be running the show within the next week or so. There will be a rehearsal on Monday, February 5th as well. Please continue to memorize your lines and review the choral parts and dance steps. As you can see, you must not wear good clothes to the rehearsal space. In future, the "lounge" will be for those studying lines, reading or doing hoemwork. Any private rehearsals will take place in the stairwells and in the loading dock areas. Thank you for making the musical your number one priority at this time, less than a month away.

Rehearsals Moving to Warehouse
Rehearsals for Urinetown will move to 92 Gomez St. starting Sunday, Jan. 28th.

Students need to arrange their own transportation to and from this location. We encourage students to car pool as much as possible.

Cast members should bring shoes (to leave there if they like) they can bring homework and a book. Also, they should eat supper prior to rehearsal for there will not be a supper break. We encourage all students to bring snacks with them, as we will not allow students to leave the premises during rehearsal time.

After school rehearsals will begin promptly at 4:30, so as to allow enough time for students to get to the warehouse.

Click here to see a map to the warehouse.

Costumes
Ms. Kohut has asked actors to bring in any costume pieces in a labelled bag to her room or the music room. Also, if you have any thoughts about your costume, you may share those ideas with Ms. Kohut on a note in the bag. Thanks for your input.

ATTENDANCE
Attendance is becoming a problem at a time when actors should be more committed to the musical. We are in the last stretch. In order for Urinetown to be a success, I need consistent attendance. When someone is absent, it affects them, as well as other people that they interact with in any given scene. Please refrain from making other plans on Sundays and evenings till the musical is over. Perhaps it is time to make the musical a priority above private lessons. We thank you for helping to ensure our success in this endeavour. Miriam

Attendance
During exam time, shorter rehearsals have been scheduled. Please attend all rehearsals so that we don't have to re-teach all dance numbers. Research shows that an exercise break makes study time more productive. We only have 6 weeks of rehearsal after the winter break!!!!!!!!!! Yikes!!!!!!!!!

Duration of rehearsals
To the cast of Urinetown. The dates of rehearsals have been entered on the rehearsal site with TBA about the actual details of each rehearsal. People with smaller parts will not be required for such long time periods at each rehearsal, generally speaking. The times posted are the longest possible length of each rehearsal. Closer the event, rehearsals will be of longer duration. I hope that clears up the confusion. Miriam Bronstein
